Comstock Park is located just outside Grand Rapids and is often called a "bedroom community" since so many of its residents commute to the city for work each day.  Education is provided by two elementary schools, a middle school, and a newer high school.  Hospitals and medical services are close by in Grand Rapids.  In addition to the small downtown shops, there is a major shopping center in town that has department stores as well as several small shops.  Comstock Park is home to the Grand Rapids' baseball team, and their stadium at Old Kent Park.  A large local park has baseball diamonds, fish ponds, and playground equipment.  Residential neighborhoods include many new housing developments.
